Youth Programs

This program is a 3 day 2-night kayaking trip geared towards teens aged 11 to 14 who wish

to develop leadership, paddling and camping skills. The youth will learn on water skills, how to

cook at a campsite, and all about camping. But, it’s mostly just having a fun time on the lake.

Participants should have some paddling experience. Lake Superior is weather dependent.

Exact itinerary will depend on weather. Sheltered, secluded wilderness campsites within the

Rossport Islands

Food:

All meals, snacks, cutlery, dishes and pots will be provided (don’t bring anything food

related). We will be eating healthy foods that fuel our bodies with energy, and some treats on

occasion. You will be expected to be lenient and eat what is available, though if you have any

dietary restrictions, allergies or things you really won’t eat, please identify them prior to the trip.

Cost:

$495 + HST, includes equipment (except as listed below), food and 2 instructors (1 male and

1 female). A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to secure your spot, the balance owing
