We understand that sometimes plans change but we really count on your commitment. We do our best to be fair while keeping our programs running smoothly. Because our paddling season is short and each trip requires careful planning and coordination, our cancellation policy applies in all situations — even in the case of unexpected events like illness, family emergencies, or travel delays. Please take a moment to review our cancellation policies listed below.

General Terms & Conditions

Such A Nice Day (S.A.N.D.) Adventures Inc. reserves the right to cancel any program or service.

If a service is cancelled due to weather conditions, highway closures, natural disaster, etc. we will try to reschedule. If this is not possible, the customer will receive a full refund.

If a program must be cancelled due to low enrolment, all registered participants will receive a full refund.

Once a program is underway, our guides may adjust the itinerary for safety reasons such as weather, sea state, or individual/group dynamics. In these cases, no refunds are issued, as your experience continues in a way that keeps everyone safe and comfortable.

Should a participant be evacuated — either by choice or at the guide’s discretion for medical or safety reasons — the participant is responsible for any evacuation costs.

For longer programs, we highly recommend obtaining both medical and cancellation travel insurance. Please note that many policies must be purchased shortly after you book to ensure full coverage.

Cancelation Policies:

All Single Day Programs (2hr Tours, Half Day Tours, Full Day Tours, All Day Instructional Programs, Ice Paddling, All Equipment Rentals, Shuttle Services & Trip Consultations)

To hold your place on any of our day programs, we require payment in full.

Please note that ALL reservations must be cancelled through the Reservation System.

If the reservation is cancelled prior to 15 days:

  • You will receive a full refund

If the reservation is cancelled between 72 hours and 15 days:

  • You will receive a partial refund: The full cost of the program minus a 10% administration fee, or
  • You can transfer 100% of your payment (minus the above admin fee and any program price differences due to inflation) to another scheduled program in the same year

If the reservation is canceled less than 72 hours:

  • NO refunds will be given

Multi Day Programs & Expeditions (2 Days to 5 Days)

To hold your place on any of our programs, we require a 25% or $100 deposit (whichever is more) upon reservation.

Please note that ALL reservations must be cancelled through the Reservation System.

If the reservation is cancelled prior to 30 days:

  • You will receive a full refund minus a $150+HST administration fee, or
  • You can transfer 100% of your payment including your deposit (minus the above admin fee and any program price differences due to inflation) to another scheduled program in the same or following year

If the reservation is canceled less than 30 days:

  • NO refunds will be given

Multi Day Programs & Expeditions (6 Days to 8 Days)

To hold your place on any of our programs, we require a 25% deposit upon reservation.

Please note that ALL reservations must be cancelled through the Reservation System.

If the reservation is cancelled prior to 60 days:

  • You will receive a full refund minus a$250+HST administration fee, or
  • You can transfer 100% of your payment including your deposit (minus the above admin fee and any program price differences due to inflation) to another scheduled program in the same or following year

If the reservation is canceled less than 60 days:

  • NO refunds will be given

Multi Day Programs & Expeditions (9 Days Or More)

To hold your place on any of our programs, we require a 25% deposit upon reservation.

Please note that ALL reservations must be cancelled through the Reservation System.

If the reservation is cancelled prior to 90 days:

  • You will receive a full refund minus a $400+HST administration fee, or
  • If SAND or yourself can find a suitable replacement, a full refund will be given minus a $150+administration fee

If the reservation is canceled less than 90 days:

  • NO refunds will be given
